We’re Ultra® – a team of Chartered Certified Accountants who believe accountancy should be clear, proactive and even enjoyable! We are Going Beyond The Usual® , so you get advice, support and numbers you can actually use (and understand).
Ultra® Accountancy started with a simple mission:
to change the way business owners deal with their accountant.
We created Ultra® to be different from the typical “once-a-year” accountant. Too many business owners were left stressed, chasing deadlines, or finding out their tax bill days before it was due. That never sat right with us, so we built a digital-first, proactive and approachable accountancy practice.
We built a practice which is here to support you and your business all year round, keeps things simple, and which gives you the clarity and confidence to make the right decisions for you and your business.
Our name says it all. Ultra® means Going Beyond The Usual®. We go further in the service we give, the technology we use, and the relationships we build.
Our roots are in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, but thanks to smart tech such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, and Xero we help businesses across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK. We’re proud to be one of the UK’s earliest Zoho Books partners! Our team works with these systems daily to make sure our clients’ finances are always accurate and up to date.
Most importantly, we’re real people. We’re a close-knit team of four (plus our office cockapoo, who doubles up as Chief Happiness Officer 🐶) We’re parents, gym-goers, runners, martial artists and coffee-drinkers!
Between us, we bring decades of expertise, with a strong passion to support our clients as we understand it’s our job is to give you clarity, time and confidence, so you can focus on the things that matter most.

Meet the team
Martin Hargreaves
Martin is one of the driving forces behind Ultra®, known for his practical, straight-talking approach to accountancy and business advice. With years of experience working with service-based businesses, he’s passionate about helping clients understand their numbers, plan ahead with confidence, and grow without the stress of last-minute surprises.
Day to day, Martin works closely with clients on everything from tax planning, and digital system setups to bigger-picture strategy. He loves searching for new tech and new ways to do things. Martin believes accountancy should be simple, proactive and genuinely helpful (not a once-a-year box-ticking exercise).
Outside the office, Martin is a dedicated martial artist and family man. He enjoys travelling, watching his son play football, and spending time with Aimee, their son, and of course the family cockapoo (Ultra’s very own “Chief Happiness Officer”).
Aimee Hargreaves
Aimee co-founded Ultra® with the vision of creating an accountancy practice that truly goes beyond the usual. Friendly, approachable and highly knowledgeable, she has a real talent for making complex financial matters easy to understand. Clients value her supportive style, attention to detail and proactive advice that helps them feel in control of their business.
As the customer-facing side of Ultra®, Aimee works closely with clients to make sure nothing is left to the last minute. For her, it’s all about building strong relationships and giving clients the clarity and confidence to make informed decisions about their business and personal finances.
Outside of work, Aimee is a proud mum, enjoys family time with their son and the family cockapoo, and can often be found cheering from the sidelines when her son plays football. She’s also a keen gym-goer, with a particular love for strength training – balancing numbers in the office with lifting heavy weights in the gym. Travel, fitness and making the most of quality time with family and friends are what keep her motivated and inspired.
Erika Kurbani
As Accounts Senior at Ultra®, Erika has a sharp eye for detail and ensures that bookkeeping, accounts preparation, payrolls and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
Clients appreciate her organised, reliable approach and the way she makes even the trickiest tasks feel straight forward.
Erika enjoys making sure clients records are in great shape so deadlines are never a worry. She takes pride in delivering high-quality work that helps business owners feel confident about their numbers and frees them up to focus on growing their business.
Outside of work, Erika loves spending time with her family, baking her amazing cakes (which the Ultra® team are always more than happy to sample!), relaxing with a good book, and exploring new places.
Tamara Swan
Tamara is an expert in the day-to-day rhythm of great finance ops. At Ultra®, she looks after bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts, keeping records up to date and turning monthly figures into clear, practical insights that clients can actually use.
Detail-driven and ultra-organised, Tamara ensures reconciliations are tight, VAT deadlines are met, and management reports arrive on time. She likes to make things simple in Zoho Books, QuickBooks and Xero to ensure business owners get reliable numbers and get time doing what they do best.
Outside of work, Tamara loves spending time with her family, being at the yard with her horses and gigging on a weekend (team Ultra like being in the audience – it’s always a good reason to enjoy a few drinks together).
Nelson
Every great team needs a Chief Happiness Officer — and at Ultra®, that role is proudly filled by our cockapoo. With boundless enthusiasm, a wagging tail and a natural talent for boosting morale, Nelson makes sure the office is always a welcoming place to be.
He might not get much “work” done, but he’s brilliant at reminding us when it’s time for a break and never misses an opportunity to ask Erika for more chicken!
Outside of “work,” you’ll usually find Nelson enjoying long walks, chasing Aimee and Martin’s cat around the house or enjoying a snooze while being curled up on his very own teddy bear blanket!
